who should weld exhaust? factory or...

CMI Big Tubes. I've discovered what seems to be 1 pinhole leak in each header right at the collector where the pipes come together. Would you send them to CMI for repair or find a competent local welder ? I've read some bad things about CMI's welding on repairs. Any other options? I'm in the Buffalo NY area.
