No, but if you aren't sure about it, there are cheaper ones on the market... Mine came from Home Depot, I am very happy with the value/dollar....

If you don't need the side vision Autel has some really nice ones that are much cheaper.

Is the side view a truly separate lens, or just a mirror style attachment? In your opinion, is the image quality and side view function really that much better than some other makes that run about half the price as the 8000?

I have the 8000 and use it all the time. I have also have the Matco and some off brand versions and never use them because of clarity and the lens size issues.

I have a Milwaukee I bought at home depot that has worked worked well for me.

Thanks for the replies, I have it narrowed down to either an Autel or the SO. I don't mind spending the extra coin on the SO as long as the quality matches the price tag. I wanted to make sure that its not another one of Snap On's notorious re branded, double the price items with the same quality as something that costs a fraction as much.

ps i also like it because i can take a picture or a video of what in looking at and then plug it into my pc and look at it on a bigger screen via usb or send it to a sd card....it has a total of 3 cameras,,2 on the wand,,straight or 45* and one on the unit its self..you get what you pay for..just make sure you use a soft cloth when cleaning the lens's
