formula 292

Im thinking about up grading to a 2002 formula 292 with twin 350 mpi. not sure what the handling and speed would be.
I have a 240 powerquest with a 502 it runs 74 on gps. But doesn't handle the rough water to well. At least thats what my 5 and 8 year old say. All are freinds run twin big blocks. Not sure if I'll be able to keep up with this one.

Handling on a 292? You gotta have this!

Or you will be sawing the wheel like a mo fo at speed.

Rough water ride is great for a 27' hull with twin steps.
This is about 55 to 60 on a solid 2 ft wind blown chop.

I have 350 mag's. Top out at 69/71 running 26" bravo 1's.

Cruises great at 45 to 50 burning sh!t for fuel.

The Formula 292 is a nice boat. However if you can afford to go bigger by all means go bigger especially in rough seas.

Thanks for all the imput. But Whats the silent thunder about. Is that why I see some of these with the exaust going threw the swim platform.

Yes the silent thunder is what is attached under the swim platform. 4 bolts remove it.

Your max with 350's will be around 70.And that's lite fuel and perfect conditions.
