we race a X275 drag radial car with a turbo LS on E85, love the stuff, have to move 40% more fuel, so keep that in mind when setting up fuel system, should have no issues with that boost...re run 25 with no intercooler...

You can run 25 pounds boost with no intercooler.. So cool. What kind of compression? What hp does that engine make?

Thanks, amazing.

yes, no intercooler, right at 9-1, right at 1000 from 364cu in...using stock, crank, heads, intake and exhaust manifolds...

scope creep

Welcome to the world of modifications! Figure 10k and then add 200% for scope creep!

one thing to consider is if your boat is a 1995, chances are you have a mefi1 system. there are no boost tables in the mefi1 so in order to do it right, you should upgrade wiring and ECM to at least mefi3. (plan to spend around $600 for Mefi3 harness and ECM used)

unless you plan to put the motor on the dyno, try to stick w/ a proven recipe. tuning over the mail is a lot harder when you start changing cams, etc.
Mark boos of Precision marine has a good ECM cal for a stock 502 MPI w/ pro charger. my buddy did the exact setup you are referring to (including the mefi1-mefi3 swap) and now it runs great.

definitely do the full fuel system upgrade. w/ the areomotive pump, prefilter, regulator, teague water separator, and lines\fittings, that's an easy thousand right there.

Inconel valves and Cometic head gaskets are a must as well. the stock exhaust valves can't take the extra heat. (i dropped one this season on my nordic)

x2 on dustin's suggestion for after market risers on ur stock exhaust or new exhaust so you can install O2 bungs for a wideband. That's really the only way to know if your tune is correct.

all of this sounds like a pain up front but honestly if you don't take the time to do it right, you'll be fighting it for at least a couple of seasons.
