Hammond Challenger

Hi guys,
New to boating and to offshore only. Great site! Looking for other members who have a Hammond Challenger. Mine is a 84 and is real good shape. Having the bow gell coat and paint redone as I speak. Wanting to trade some info and have some questions. I'll post pics when I get her back home.
Thanks

I've had the Stryker version. 1988 model, it was a fun boat.
Had it running 85-88 with a big block around 575 hp.

Yeah ill post up some pics when I get it back from the shop.

Tm Moore do you have any pics? How did she ride doing 80? Im already thinking about droping a 427 in her. Along with the gell coat on the bow being fixed im also having some supports installed under the bow to prevent anymore flexing. Should stop that crazing that was going on.

I'll have to see if I can dig up some pictures... I know I don't have any digital ones.
It was really tail heavy with a BBC. I put a set of lighting headers on it and that helped a lot, but still tail heavy.
I think a good setup would be a big inch SBC or LS. It was scary around 85. Mine flexed pretty bad everywhere.
