What to do?

Through various transactions I ended up as the proud owner of one -1- Supercharged ZZ502. The engine has a polished 8-71 Kuhl Supercharger, Teflon coated rotors, fuel-injection-system,, etc. The engine is drop dead gorgeous. I have been trying to sell it and have it on Ebay through a friend for 11,500.
This was a developmental engine GM Performance Parts was considering offering to the Street Rod world a number of years ago. It has a lot of bling, and is built with top notch parts. Only has dyno time and these engines turned well over 800 hp on the dyno.
Now an identical Supercharger set up in California has surfaced on Ebay. There were only 7 of these built in total. His has the ECU which I am missing- a MEFI 3 bosch controller.
The guy wants $ 6950 –good luck… with getting that much
The question is do I continue to sell my 502. OR buy the other supercharger- mate it to a ZZ502 and have a pair to drop into my Chris Cat (or another boat) ? The Chris Cat has Mk 4 468’s with roller cams, Dart Iron eagle heads and are 475hp on Tylers dyno.
I would have to beef up my BW 72c and be careful with my speedmaster 2’s. Also have to modify my engine hatch/sun pad as these engines are a lot taller. But I should have a 100mph boat then.
So turning to my friends on OSO I am asking for some wisdom here.

I say go for it and build a second engine but would be concerned about the SSM 2's handling the torque without grenading.
It's always fun to want to spend other people's money isn't it,

I have to marinize the ZZ502. Needs oil pan, remote oil filter, accesories like water pump, alternator.

That would be beautiful in my Chevelle, what is it like to have such a dilemma!! I say put another one together and put them in the Cat.

Sell the 502 and ssm ii setups buy some ssm 3s. Then put some blowers on the 468s. 700 - 750hp a side with 3's will work great. Much stronger drive and transom assemblies for high speed safety

That's some mighty fine horse trading.

I wouldn't invest in two rare setups for a boat like you are considering. When one fails sometime down the road, then you are going to have to start over on something else, twice.

I'd keep that motor for a hot rod project someday. Is that your GTO? Time to fab up some motor mounts.

I second the above. Buy a streetrod for it.

That was my GTO, ex got that. Which is OK because I want a new C7 Corvette. :-)

Next Question- Which Street Rod website am I going to advertise the ZZ502 on?
