Default Power valve in holley.

I am wandering if anybody runs power valves in there carbs? I have never ran one in my racecars but I do have one on my 355 sbc. It runs just fine I'm just curious if anybody uses them!!

Yes, most marine carbs will have power valves. Even mercury used them in their holley carbs.

Run a PV in the primary and not in the secondary. That is the way Merc did the HP500 carbs also.

I used pvs in both primary and secondary in my dominator, and made it run perfect throughout the power range. without them the carb is way to rich everywhere but WOT. I only used one on my Demon blow through. every carb is different and takes alot of messing around to get them right. But I recommend using a pv unless it only idle or wide open aka race car.

I agree, run a primary, plug the secondary...

I'm running both in my Pro-Systems 950. It helps fuel economy when your not on it big time. My cruise speed is 55 - 60 and I get almost 3mpg with a 90+ top end. Once I get the prop sorted out I may break 3mpg. Not bad for a Velocity 280.
