Thinking on this subject, has anyone eard from Harold Brookshire (Ultradyne cams) Last I heard he was recovering from a heart attack in 2012 |
I just pulled similar UltraDyne solid roller cams out of my 454's. @ 0.050" 252/264. 0.632"/0.632" 108LSA
I had Bob M. build me 2 cams last spring. Brought my power band down from 6500 to 56-5800. Propped up a few pitches. Gained cruise and much better GPH burn. Not blowing straight gas out the exhaust. lol |

I dont know if they Bob and Harold know each other, but the time they are willing to spend with a potential customer is priceless |
Witch one should I use? Bob or Harold. Thanks for the help also. The cams seemed off to me and as far as the heads well that's not in the budget.

Last number I have for Harold 662-562-4933. he is a cam designer. Bob will look at your complete engine package and make recomendations. I dont think you can go wrong with either one. |

I know the cam question is a very delicate subject. |
Not that I'm promoting the Procomp heads... I saw that there was a pair on the flow bench a few months ago so
I asked Jim how they flowed, he said surprisingly well with a little work. He did mention that the cores were not consistent and the walls varied so be careful if you remove any material. So if that is all you have run them. I'll see if I can get the final flow #'s. |
