Gen 5 oil capacity

Okay,
I should know...

Gen 5 502....What is the oil capacity in the pan....?
Anybody have one and want to share info....

Mine is also 8 quarts, with the filter. Pan itself is 7.

oil amount.

Hi guys, I think you all hit on the head. When we do oil changes it is usually 7 quarts in the pan and maybe alittle more with the filter. Put 7 in and start it, then check the level. Just remember, its always better to prime the filter with oil if the filter is vertical. That way you dont dry fire the engine.
