Wiring/ rigging ? Breakers

Anyone using auto reset breakers? The options are fuses, push to rest breakers, auto rest breakers, what are the pros and cons of each?
Not crazy about fuses...and leaning towards the auto rest breakers with small LEDs to show that they are powered up

I think push to reset makes more sense.

X2 I've seen the auto reset melt from constant resetting from a dead short.

If you have a wiring/electrical problem, do you want to know about it immediately? I sure do, before a little problem becomes a big problem. If I have to push to reset, I know somethings going on.

Good points
If something is wrong I would hope I would notice with a flickering light... in most big rigs they are running auto reset breakers--- have been for 20 years. With a lot more lights depending on them. I don't want to have the resets buttons up on the dash...
Interesting on the melting point--- they usually won't reset if too hot

Makes it tougher when I have both sitting on the bench

Thing is if u have a breaker trip there is obviously an issue. At that point does it matter if you push a button or not? To me it's a safety thing if I've got a short I don't want to keep putting voltage on a wire it doesn't take much for one to start going and once it starts its very unpleasant to get out. Usually ends with wire casing burned into your skin and that nasty flesh smell from burning flesh.

Go with fuses(carry spares) or push to reset

I have these circuit breaker switches in my boat and I love them, they are expensive but true high quality military/aircraft grade pieces. Boat is 5 years old and not one issue with them. And they are available with lots of different options and configurations.

Fuses would be my last choice, they can get corroded and can be a source of problems. The fewer connections in a circuit the better.
