Sea Water pump rebuild
 

I ordered rebuild kits, and they are made by Mallory Marine products. Has anybody used these? I thought Mercruiser was the only one that made them.

Mercury sells parts under the Mercrusier name but many/most of the parts are made by vendors who are not necessary exclusive to Mercury Marine.

Mallory Marine had good products, Some better than Merc, some the exact same as Merc and maybe a few just sub par products. Anyways Merc even buys from Mallory. I knew the guys personally that ran Mallory Marine in Cleveland Ohio. it was a division of Mallory/ Accel / Mr. Gasket. By the end of the year all Mallory Marine products will be completely phased out.

Sea Star Solutions bought Mallory Marine out. Sea Star solutions in which is Sierra Marine / Taylor Made / Teleflex / Inca gas tanks, Now as of Jan 31, 2014 a private investment company bought Sea Star Solutions ( Sierra) out. The aftermarket marine business has changed a lot in the past 6 months. Look for cheaper quality and higher pricing. Investment companies need bigger profits to turn around and sell it down the road..
