Ok, I have the old Saginaw pumps. Gonna keep rocking the ATF. One thing I've liked about ATF in my steering , trim, and tab pumps, if some spills or leaks, it cleans up easy, unlike normal oils and gear lube.
Yeah that's a nice attribute, plus quite a few folks note faster drive operation using it in their trim pumps. I have yet to try this as it seems most trim pumps like a 10w-30/40 PCMO. Or should I say, the manufacturers of said pumps spec this grade of engine oil.
