i just bought a complete gen 5 motor numbers on motor are F800708 but cover on carb says 0K152730 and says 454 400hp cant find any info on this it looks like its oval port intake is samller than the one on my gen iv says hi perf on the push rod guides

what is the 8 digit number of the block?it is located near the area that the bellhousing bolts on to.

it is a gen6 454 l29 vortec engine.gen 6 block is a hyd roller cam engine.it was introduced in 1996.

Ok hopefully that's good I hope it actually has 400hp like the cover says and that my harness will work

in stock form it is not 400 hp.it is rated at 290 hp and was built from 1996 until 2000 and its primary use was for 1 ton trucks.
