Looking for Some Insight on Merc 500 EFI

Running down lake at 3500-4000 rpm, feel a loss of power, hear 3 warning beep and stbd engine dies. Limp back to dock on 1 engine. get tied off and engine fires right up. Stbd engine very hard to engage in fwd and near impossible in reverse? I'm thinking shift cable caused an override which killed the engine? Thoughts please

You saw what I posted on MWBP.

Did you run the boat up to 4k under load after it happened to see if the stall would repeat itself???

Griff, Thanks for the info. I did see it on MWBP. Unfortunately, time would not allow me to try to reproduce it.
