Check out post #5 in this thread. Then look at the specs on the CP site. Same cam "Jan" at lightning headers spec'd for another guy. So, I assume these are Jan's spec'd cams?

So if you bought a Chevy at a dealer than had a problem and the Chevy dealers was like well not our problem contact GM you`d be fine with that?? Its called stand behind the products you sell. I do it all the time.

I received $2000 worth of merchandise accidently send to me from Livorsy and meant for Hardin. Did I keep it? Did I sell it on Ebay? No, I called to inform them of their mistake and send it back. Cause thats how I do things.
When I had an issue over a $40 missing part they told me I`m a liar .. **** them!

It seems to be the normally accepted business practice these days. Can't understand why people put up with it? One and done with me as the customer.

I bought what was advertised as "Hardin Marine" manifolds FROM CP Performance and recieved GLM manifolds
which then failed and took out my engine....
They were advertised as Hardin Marine and thats what I paid for,,NOT GLM.. If they had ever menioned GLM I would NOT have bought them since they are way cheaper on ebay than what I paid for them from CP..
Then I was told BY CP Performance to deal with GLM and recieved no help from the seller,CP Performance even though they had MISREPRESENTED their "Hardin Marine" manifolds and actually sold GLMs..
Sorry bro,,that is p i s s poor sales and service in anyones book.. As close to fraud as you can get I would imagine..

I bought one about 3 years ago cast cam peace of junk. Efi motor would never idle. 3 tuners CPU sent all over the country still wouldn't idle. $250 off the shelf Erson Cam (billet). Purred like a kitten. CP Performance= Junk Dealer.

CP&HARDIN the same company East coast/West coast!

I hope this wasn't directed to me, because I do care. I care very much. Maybe you missed where I wrote this about CP.

the cast or billet core have nothing to do with how it ran or idled, just lifespan..how it was designed and ground is the key

So are we all on the same page in understanding that these are cast core cams? There is no value in that cam at all if it is.

I understand. Was answering the guys question of cast cam or not. Basically junk core and junk lobe design sold by a junk dealer.

That's a really fancy description of cams with a wide LSA.

Comp and Crane simply call them Marine cams. Crane has published many technical papers to the engine building community (I miss those !) and to the public. A lot had same contenet.

Anyway, from overlap at seat, .050" and etc...to what side of overlap (BTDC, ATDC) to concentrate on...to rate of fall for the pipes...and etc,etc. Spring testing and results, etc,etc,etc

They did a ton for the performance marine community with lots of testing....spring rates with hyd flat/roller lifters / rocker arms / lifters /etc/etc....Why : They where on board with Merc, so they had to know and test their stuff...Again. good news, they shared this info if you just simply signed up for it.

Anyway, they did not, even with all there testing and info, make it look like they promised no-reversion. That 's in the hands of the builders and riggers.
