transom assembley help
Guys,
Motors are out and was looking at the inner plate of the transom assembly to realize there's more to it than basic nuts and bolts.I would appreciate if y'all could help me out on the smaller hoses and wires attached to the inner plate. I realized the bigger fitting was for the hose attached to the water pump but I have no idea what the other ones do. Thanks. |
What are you working on ? if its a Bravo assembly the small hose would be for the drive fluid and the wires I think are grounds

I saw the ground going to the batter, but there are also a couple thin wires that are curly. |
So I presume your not the one that removed the engines, the small cury ones should go to a ground block mounted to the transom, or grounded to the bell housing, or some where on the engine block, have any pics ?

Small curly wires are ground wires. Go from motor bell housing stud to screw on transom plate. Rubber hose, 3/8" ID??? Is drive oil reservoir. Smaller hose, 1/8" ID?? Is speedo hose.
Did you pull your motor with drive still on? |
HA, been scratchin my head, I cant see the pis, Im running GPS forgot about the water meter lol, he made it sound like there were 4 hoses two on each
