So 20w-50 and straight 50 should be the same thing for a boat?

So back to the original question--Because it does not need one.

Anything Billet...LOL. I use Canton but because they are nearby shipping wise and I've been using them seemingly before Dinosaurs walked this earth. Hard to change an old(er) guy.

CV is a really good company also.

I just don't like cast thing-a-ma-bobs in tough environments.

Sounds good on paper, but I'll bet a kick in the pants the Straight 50 will be thicker at hot temps.

I don't see a need for anything over straight 40. For multi viscosity - most 20-50's will work and like I always mention, I've done well with Rotella 15-40. It holds pressure well.

As a side note, and so those know especially since I comment on oil and oil pressure, I always remove the factory filter bypass adapter and put in a solid billet adapter with no bypass. I do this on my performance motors....so my experiences always are in this configuration.
