Sounds like I'll send the carb to Nickerson!
What are you guy's running for outdrives with the blower motors?? I have a Bravo One one that is about 3yr old with less than 100 hours on it. I run synthetic lube and a drive shower, if I don't abuse it will the newer design bravo hold up?? |
ITS YOUR MONEY, BUT THERE IS NOTHING HARD ABOUT INDEXING A CARB AND GETTING IT PREPARED FOR A BLOWER SET UP. POWER MARINE CHARGED ME $50 (PARTS AND LABOR) TO DO A 4500 HOLLEY AND A 850 HOLLEY (EACH) AND I HAVE USED THEM FOR TWO SUMMERS WITH NO PROBLEMS. IF YOU DO THE MATH AS LONG AS YOU STAY BELOW 7 POUNDS YOU CARB WILL DO ENOUGH AIR FLOW ON THE BOAT TO GIVE YOU EXCLENT RESULTS. JUST SET IT ON 30 DEGREES TOTAL TIMING USE GOOD 93 OCTANE FUEL AND HOLD ON. ALSO ON A 250 BLOWER A 1 INCH OPEN HOLE SPACER IS WORTH 17HP AT 5500 RPM THIS MAY BE SOMTHING ELSE THAT YOU WANT TO TRY. THIS IS MY .02 CENTS HOPE IT HELPS SAVE YOU SOME MONEY.

I wouldn't bother with the mega blower. It's comparable to a 6:71 and for the money you might as well step up to a 8:71. The 250 can be considered the minimum entry level for a blower.

YES THE 250 IS ENTRY LEVEL BUT A GOOD STARTING POINT THAT WILL FIT UNDER MOST HATCHS:)
HE SHOULD HAVE PLENTY OF POWER WITH THIS SET UP SEE YA ,:) |
