What thermostat housing for closed cooling system??

2 Attachment(s)
I bought a closed cooling system off of a member here since the boat I boat has aluminum heads and intake manifold and I'm in salt water... Had it installed for a while now, but the entire time I have simply been running a water restrictor in the tstat housing because the housing that came with the kit I bought is designed for sea water cooling system. So basically its running no t-stat, but restricts the flow of water like a tstat would...
The pics below are the restrictors and the tstat housing I have...

BUT... what is the correct tstat housing to use in conjunction with closed cooling? I just need one that will provide flow to the manifolds all the time, and then flow to the heat exchanger when the tstat opens!

Thanks in advance!!

I used kit GLM # 13550 (for a Gen VI 7.4)

Google it and you will find pic and prices.
There is a similar kit for small blocks.

Thanks for the reply Michael S.... Mine is also a BBC, and I google'd it and saw it a few different places... Curious though if you can tell me, is there just the 2 outlets that go to the exhaust manifolds or is there any other outlets, and what did you use them for on your boat?? Also does some water bypass the tstat so there is cooling to the exhaust manifold all the time??
Thanks a lot dude!

There is only two outlets, one to each exhaust manifold.
A cast in thermostat bypass let some coolant always circulate, to cool the manifold before thermostat opening temp is reached.

To avoid (or add to it lol) confusion, this will create a full closed cooling system.
If you want to still cool the exhaust manifolds with sea water, there is a different housing. witch was standard on my engines.
