No need to advance it further for pulling up skiers and tubing. I call BS on that part.

Never said it was a requirement, just that more bottom end torque would make it better. Advancing the cam does that and moves the exhaust valve closing event. It's a win win and not BS.

but you do lose top end. torque curve falls off sooner. of course if you ain't a full throttle kinda guy, you won't miss it...

It's near 480hp and same for torque with an Alpha.
I wouldn't waste time touching the cam and unless someone could promise you an extra 2* would let you run the exhaust you have or want. Quick2500 - I understand what you are saying and not battling you. I'm expressing my opinion too. Give it the exhaust it needs to not revert and get a decent sound reducing muffler that doesn't strangle the motor. |
SB, I understand, not trying to start an argument. I haven't seen his cam card, so it may not even be possible.
