I never tried it. I just put my mefi 1 ECM back in.

you can repin the harness to support either a 3 or 4 series computer.

MEFI 1 and MEFI 2 use the same harness

MEFI 3 Uses its' own harness
MEFI 4 Uses its' own harness

All harnesses can be repinned to support any of the computers
