Default Remote oil filter mounting heigth?

I am cleaning up bilge area and want to remove the oil filter from the exhaust and mount on transom. How high above engine can i mount it? I am woried i may create an oil flow problem with the extra height, about 1 1/2' above it's stock position. Any recomendations or experiences?
Thanks in advance.

Mine is on the transom as well at about cylinder head height with -10 lines. It allows me to use an oversize Donaldson Filter #P550832, which keeps the oil super clean.

if you start over with new hoses&fittings go with -12.very little resistance to flow.
