i never touch the primary screw..reason is you can make the engine stumble if you are out of the idle circuit..

Ok, been poking around the web trying to find an adjustment procedure for secondary idle screw adjustment. I would assume this would be done in conjunction with the primary idle screw adjustment. I just guessed on how to do it last night when I started to tune my new carb.
FYI I am not talking mixture adjustment screws...I am talking secondary blade adjustments. |
I adjust the primary butterfly with a mix of idle speed and mixture screws like all carburators.
My secondary butterfly I adjust to compensate for the RPM drop when I put it in gear. If the idle speed drops too much in gear...I open secondary throttle plate 1/8-1/4 turn. Adjust the primary idle plate and mixture again. Go back and forth so that the idle is good in or out of gear. I don't know if it's right. But it works for ME |

Is this a dominator or a 4150 ?

I think the main thing is not to over expose the transfer slots on either side. All you want to do is keep the transfer slot wet.
