Am I the only one that thinks the Whipple website isn't very helpful?

I have a copy of the dyno sheet here. Actually we never did see the HP peak. But, at 6000RPM, they made 964HP. At 6500RPM, 985HP. The torque was outstanding though, from a 522ci engine.

was this on pump gas or race fuel?? Thanks

thats the beauty of forced induction ..heck look at the outputs of a modern turbo diesel. Most arent even barely over 400 cubic inches .

I'll start with the 174 B&M. This is a straight, two lobe, teflon tipped supercharger. It's primary introduction, back in the 1980's, was for low RPM, low power smog era 454 Tow engines. This blower worked very well on a low rpm engine, that was simply looking to add a little more grunt down in the idle to 4000RPM range. It worked well in that application. This blower utilized a single carb setup. Was also used on the old Hawk Marine 525 engines. This blower should be limited to about 5lbs of boost on a 454ci marine engine, if it must be used.

So this is my exact setup. I have a 174 on a Hawk 525. What would you suggest to increase 100 HP.

6-71, 8-71, or a 420 megablower. Some better headgaskets, .060 thick, and 7lbs boost.
