MT , what gear oil do you like to run in your blowers ? Amsoil Severe Gear ? BDS 871 do you fill to the bottom of the sight glass ? What do you use to get it in there ?

Yep .sums it up nice there . Also the girth of those 8-71 and beyond blowers alone sometimes requires a little extra extra in engine mount scrutiny.
|
il answer this one,use a good synthetic 80w90 gear oil ,i like amsoil products, fill to the middle of the site glass with the blower sitting level.

although, anyone serious about supercharging, and going fast, really shouldnt have wood screws holding their engines to the stringers. |

A quality 80w90 filled to the bottom of the sight plug hole, works on most blowers. Honestly, I dont even remember what I last put in mine as far as brand. Prob some castrol or mobil 80w90. I dont think there is a need to get silly with brand here. Although, for the minimal amount of oil they hold, it sure wouldnt hurt to throw the good stuff in there.
