Who ever you go with, make sure you get the agreement in writing so everyone is on the same page. Lots of shops out there think they are #1 and come to find out once you audit their work they don't know WTF they are doing.

That seems to high from my perspective. I would say $2500 - 3000 depending on pistons used would be more inline. I would talk to your local machine shops and see if they can do the complete short block, they are doing most of the critical work on it anyways.

Good, fast or cheap - pick any two. ;)

A Crane cam. Sorry don't have the card at hand. It has a decent idle, hydraulic not to radical. Tyler Crockett picked it. Max out at 5400.
