Marvel Mystery Oil for Fogging?

Not to bring up a sore subject (winterizing), but is good ol' Marvel good for fogging engines for storage?

thats what i use for fogging. i put some in the fuel as well. also if i get some water in the oil, i throw a quart in the crankcase and use it as a flush before changing the oil..

Thanks for the reply. I like the fact I can 'dump' it in the carb, rather than using a spray can of fogging oil. How much should I use?

my fuel tank is 200 or 250 gallons so i put in a quart for each 100 gallons. about 1/2 quart for each motor to winterize. just don't pour it too fast. it doesn't compress and needs to atomize in your venturii's. i also use a biocide in the fuel because there were some nast little organisms plugging up my carb one spring. don't forget to fill your tank so the expansion and contraction of the gasoline won't draw humidity through your vent and condense water back in your fuel. if you can help it, fill your tank as soon as you winterize. gasoline manufacturers "hide" more butane in the fuel in the colder it gets. vapor lock is caused by butane turning back to gas from a liquid when it reches it's boiling point which isn't very high. that first warm day when you run the boat next spring it vapor locks and people always ask why.

OK, so put in a quart before shutting off for the winter run it for a while and put some in the Fuel??
