Outboard motor life and issues
 

Starting to do my homework for a boat I am going to purchase for next winter in Florida for salt water use. Looking at twins of 225 or 300hp. I don't have any experience with outboards so Im looking to get an education of general life expediency's and common problems. Most common motors I see are Mercury, Yamaha or Suzuki. Leaning towards a 4 stroke but not ruling out a 2 stroke motor.
