Livorsi guages

How's their quality been lately? Was about to buy a new set and had heard their quality had fallen off a bit. Anyone got any input?

I have to agree with BB, as much as I don't want to. Their gauges look awesome, but lately, they don't work as good as they look. The last several installs that we have done have needed at least 2 of the gauges replaced immediately. Some needed 3 or 4 replaced. They either read WAY wrong, got stuck, didn't work, etc. We played with 3 oil pressure gauges and senders. I knew what the engine made for oil pressure when it was cold at idle. We tried all 3 senders with all 3 gauges, in every possible configuration, and the pressure reading on the gauge varied from 55-90 psi. To me, that's not within the normal range of acceptable variation.

Now that Autometer has different color bezels and dials, they are the way to go. They seem to have a really nice piece. I have been installing and using Livorsi gauges for over 20 years now. I really like their stuff and would love to continue using it, but they are going to have to get back to where they used to be when they led the industry.

Matt, I am not the only one to say this. I have heard thru some industry sources as well the quality is not what it use to be nor longevity. I have been using Auto Meter for the past 5 years and they just keep getting better without any problems.

Stay away from gaffrig. I put 6 new guages in last year 2 work, 1 more does but the calibration is off.

Thank u for ur honest review eddie. I have been noticing erratic pressure readings as well with livorsi. Even on their mechanical stuff. I'm ditching it all in favor of the new Holley LCD touch screen dash board

Auto meter just doesn't have the colored bezels thou, if they did I'd be all in! Not sure I could handle all white.

Drock78 02-19-2015 07:51 AM

Are you talking about the gauge rim or the little dress up bezels? The bezels will fit any gauges of the same size.

MATT, AUTOMETER HAS A SERIES WITH COLORED BEZELS EITHER POWDER COATED OR ANODIZED. FACE COLORS WHITE/CARBON FIBER OR SILVER.
HERE IS THE SEARCH I USED
autometer pro comp marine
CPPERFORMANCE/DIAMOND OND OTHERS SELL.
GOOD LUCK.

I used autometer pro comp marine.
I used a black angles bezel from CP.
Happy with the way they look and the finish is nice.
Hopefully, they work as nice as they look.

They do now. Check out CP Performance

I had an engine missing once in a while, it finally acted up long enough to diagnose. The problem was caused by the Livorsi tach shorting the coil wire to ground. After I clipped the wire, boat ran perfect. I called Livorsi, they claimed they had never heard of that happening before, and charged me full price for a replacement. NEVER AGAIN.

Same gauges I have. Been running them since 2010. They still work and look like the day I installed them.

Are those the platinum with crome bezels? The gps speedometer looks pretty cool as well. Where did you buy yours from?

Yes, platinum with chrome bezels. Bought them from CP performance.

Ok thinking this over. I will be looking at Autometer

scarab31 02-25-2015 08:02 PM

I was also looking at LIvorsi for replacement gauges. Unless I'm missing it somewhere I don't see a clock offered by AutoMeter

The clock is one of the 8 functions on the gps speedo.

vintage chromoly 02-25-2015 08:30 PM

Unfortunately, autometer doesn't offer an AF ratio gauge in the marine line.
