Which blower to upgrade to?

I am really wanting to upgrade my 525sc blower. Right now, I can't decide between a B&M 420 off a 600sc (well used) That is complete with carbs, no chiller. the owner is hoping for 3k. Those seem to last a long time. I think if I decided to let him keep the carbs, I could get it for less $$. I would then put EFI on it. The other Blower is a Holley off an 03 575sci. It has been gone through and includes a chiller. It is the later blower with sealed rear bearings. Those seem to self destruct at 200 hours based on web searches. This one includes the TBI style injectors. Its a complete takeoff with a MEFI 3 computer and harness. I also have most of a 6/71 that needs everything sitting on a shelf. I am ready to do this, but I want the most reliable system I can get. My current set up has been great, I just want a little more power. Please advise.

6/71, you can buy parts anywhere, and always will. Some of the Holley stuff is hard to come by. Esp intakes for the 420

Small screw blower, call Whipple, you can make more power much safer. Parts and support are avalible, you can also buy a kit from Teague.

I have a 6/71 Mooneyham, completely rebuilt by the blower shop. It's got about 10 dyno pulls on it. I'd let it go for $2800 with intake, snout, and carb adapter. Good deal if it'd help you out.

Out of those 3 options listed, I would go with either the 420, or the 6-71. They are very close in size and output. Either would work well, and as stated, the 6-71 will have more parts available easily.

I have a new Weiand 6/71 intake. Unassembled 6/71 with HD end plates It might not be any good, and a new snout. I also have a few pulleys. How long does the snout need to be for a 3V setup?

Haxby @ $2800 is a suitable solution
