NEED SWIM PLATFORM FOR 88 Forumula 272

Hi everyone, I have a 88' Forumula 272 that is in great shape, however, the swim platform is rotted and beyond the point of repair.
The marina can't locate another swim platform so they recommended a tubular platform which in my opinion.... would look HORRIBLE.

I like factory looks, would anyone out there happen to have a used swim platform for a Formula 88 272??

PLEAE HELP

LOOK AT THIS THREAD IN FORMULA "Silent Thunder" modification???
GMGEARHEAD454 HAS ONE HE REMOVED FROM 242. DON'T KNOW IF HE IS SELLING IF SO THAT SHOULD WORK. IF YOU ARE IN QUESTION IF A PARTICULAR PLATFORM WILL WORK (I've got one off a 311 in good shape, if someone can confirm its the same we can figure something out COPIED FROM POREVIOUS POST ) TRY CALLING SCOTT SMITH AT FORMULA, VINTAGE TECH SUPPORT. I BET HE CAN TELL YOU WHAT WILL/WILL-NOT WORK.
GOOD LUCK

242 if a twin would be a small block boat and I believe they are narrower than a 272

The 3 are all 8 foot beam so should be the same if it was a twin 242.
The 311 platform has a different shape than the 272 and the mounting holes may be in different spots on the transom but other than that it should work. I have both and could text you pics if it would help, although only if you really need them as I have 4 feet of snow on the ground and getting to them is a pain.

looks to be a fairly straight square generic platform. i would think a lot of platforms would fit and look correct. a couple on ebay... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Teak-Swim-Pl...5418fd&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/Full-Size-Te...91b0d3&vxp=mtr and http://www.ebay.com/itm/BOAT-TEAK-WO...a987fc&vxp=mtr they ain't small or light. where are you located?

im trying everything I can to get some pictures of my finished platform up, but this is the only site I can NEVER get to load pics... startin to piss me off

dereknkathy 03-04-2015 07:59 PM

Cuz this is only site you cant load pics unless you are a paying member. THEN when you let paid membership expire all your pics get pulled.

I AM a paying member, however I won't be much longer if I can't load pics, this has been pissing me off for a while. Ive tried from 2 different computers and my android. I've resized photos, saved them under different types of files, un-checked the "Enhanced Attachment Uploading" box in my general settings, everything. Sorry for hijacking the thread, this is just the 10th damn time I've tried

People are starting to go elsewhere because of this. You can easily share pics most (all) other places. Hopefully they change this as attendance is dropping. Paid or not...

That sounds great, I will contact the dealer and see what platforms will fit my boat.
