I know this is from a ways back but I'm having the exact same issue as you at 4500 rpm. When throttling past that the pressure drops to low 50s and goes into Guardian. If you solved the problem let me know what you found. I appreciate it.

Have you checked or changed your high pressure fuel filter that's after the pump? Check the simple things first.

I had this problem at the end of last summer. Checked the high pressure filter and water separator both were clean. Just finally getting time again to mess with boat. I have the upgraded stainless high pressure filter. I'm going to check again this time and do a reroute of the tanks to cancel them out as well. Thanks for your help

Found out the problem. It was a weak electric fuel pump. We switch from one motor to another and problem went from port motor to starboard motor. Before we did this here's some other steps we did to rule it out. Clean electric connections on electric fuel pumps.Checked both fuel filters high and low pressure. Rerouted the fuel lines so they pulled from opposite tanks to see if tank issue. Removed fuel fill caps to see if it was a venting issue. Check for kinks or weak fuel supply lines. Changed mechanical fuel pump. Removed and checked fuel cooler to see if there was a restriction. With all this still same problem. So finally switch electric pumps and found issue. Hope this can help someone if they have similar problem.

Bringing this back to the top as I'm having a similar issue on one of my 700's. Runs like a top until 4,500 RPM or so, then I get a low fuel pressure warning. Back off and it's fine. A buddy thinks maybe the high pressure fuel filter is the culprit? Appreciate any info that may be out there.

Hey did you ever figure your issue out? Having the same problem as well and changing my filters and pump were not it.

Check your fuel tank vent and make sure it's clear

Will do, I’ve changed the high pressure fuel filter, fuel/water separator, fuel pump itself and still at the same point. Just frustrating

Milam11,

Regulator? Also verify your check valves are not corroded or gunked up, limiting flow.

Thanks. Brad.

check your mechanical fuel pump as well. The motor needs both pumps to make the correct fuel pressure. It's odd that both motors are doing the same. Does the boat have 1 tank or 2?
