He doesn't happen to have the boat pointed downhill when he runs it does he ? I caught someone that did this. Motors where reverting bad because of this. Not good !

As Bup said, without more info all we can do is throw schit against the wall and see what sticks.

Thank you so much for the insight of having a boat point downhill when running -- NOT GOOD. I never ever thought of reversion operating this way - but I could see how this could happen. Fortunately, I haven't run our boat this way but it was more luck than design.

He bought it without a survey or hearing it run?? Oh the humanity!! How could it be!?!? I'll second the batteries. Put them on a good charge and test them.

Yes he did..The seller already winterized it..If the engines are NG he'll just buy new ones
