FlexiDock - Dry Docking

Is anyone familiar with this product? has anyone used it, does it work and how well? Lastly, are their any manufactures of this style dry dock in the US?

The air dock system is actually a lift, it lifts the boat out of the water. I already had them quote me and it was in excess of $8,500.

The flexidock system caught my eye because it doesn't lift the boat out of the water it just basically suctions the liner around the hull and remove the water. and i thought it would be considerably less expensive.

I have only found two companies, "fexidock" and "barnacle barrier"... Barnacle barrier is about 4,900 shipped to my house. Still think that's rather high for just a tarp with suction.

Ahhhh! Interesting. I didn't read far enough into the website to understand the difference. What size boat are we talking? What is the weight of it?

Yup i used to think the same thing, air dock was just an air dock. But now they have "slip liners" i guess might be the appropriate term since these don't actually lift your boat. But then there are also two different kinds (that i have seen) of slip liners. Ones that just inflate and create like a swiming pool effect around your boat and i guess you ad a chemical while it sits and the water trapped is clean water... but water is still touch the hull with this.

With the one im talking about it actually sucks the water out so the hull is not sitting in water.

my boat is a 2005 formula 400ss (40') weight is around 17-18,000 depending on fuel gear etc.

The other nice thing i like about the liner VS the lift is me and the family can get on and off the boat with ease, i would be weary if the wife went to the dock with the kids and were hanging out on the boat with it raised up on the air dock. (wife's a little mechanically inclined she can un-zip the cover and her help usually ends shortly after haha)
