So being that my props rotate inward I should set toe in at about 1/8 inch?... so the front of the lower unit should be closer than the rear (prop end) measuring the difference between the front and rear of the lower unit?

When I measured mine up I measured center to center on the top of the outer gimmble where the zert fittings are. And then measured the center to center of the prop shafts and made adjustments from there. I would adjust wider measurement at center to center prop shaft to achieve desired tow in.

My center to center zert was 32 7/8. My center to center prop shaft is 33 after adjustment.

I currently have old school drives. With that said it's pretty difficult to measure anywhere else that I feel would be accurate other than center to center prop shaft. Front of the drives (trs) slightly rounded. Skags can easily be off one way or the other etc and so on.

Mine turn inward.

We use to do a lot of screwing around with our 28' challengers seeing what worked best on that particular hull. They were pretty much splashed from the 27 magnum with 12" added and it performed best with props spinning inward. I suppose outward may assist in docking etc but didn't give a you know what about that.

Thanks again getrdunn I really appreciate the help

Yes, the props turning in pull the back of the drives together which will tend to toe-out the drives, so going 1/8" toe-in is good. To check mine I just make sure the drives are steered straight ahead and both trimmed perfectly neutral using a level. Then use a long rule and measure center to center on the back of the prop shafts then the distance between the tip of the nose cones and see the difference.

It also depends on the amount of power you have, and the gimble bushings ect. I have run as much as 3/8 to 1/2 inch. Put a wratchet strap on your prop shafts and click away and you will be shocked.
