I have the premium Comcast cable package, Netflix, pay per view, on demand, shelves full of DVDs, unlimited free porn sites, and yet somehow, none of it is nearly as entertaining or interesting , as oso tech . :frog:

I took it first as any motor with rocker arms has a geometry problem.

But, re reading it, I can see it the other way.

So, your both right and wrong.

Miscommunication thru typing at it's finest.

Move on.

Thank you sir for your voice of reason. Sadly it was completely ignored.

My wife has been doing yoga lately - she has been trying to get me to try it with her. Maybe I need to show her this video. Might just get me interested in doing it.

BTW, they have the model turned in the wrong direction from the camera in most of those poses.

Are you sure there isn't an issue with the rocker bosses. Those heads are notorious for that.

I do know of someone that broke the rocker boss out of a Dart aluminum head that was ported paper thin (Dick Tryce) BUT wouldnt you think if there was a "problem" with the stud boss on Tinkerers head it would have broke right out of the head, I assume your saying the stud boss might be cracked?

How close are the intake rollers to rolling off the valves? Its not falling off the other side? Just a picture but they don't look centered.

Tinkerer 04-21-2015 08:21 PM

The roller is centered over the valve stem ( top to bottom ) But not front of engine to back.

Take a look at #8 intake rocker you can see the keepers on one side. Not centered.

ICDEDPPL 04-21-2015 08:40 PM

Dumb question

You sure this isn`t from previous damage?

Yes, was thinking maybe the bottom of the stud had some movement and not the top. I've found is useful over the years to try and look at the whole picture rather than just a portion of it. How many times have you looked at something until your eyes crossed and couldn't find the issue. Walked away for five minutes and just happened to glance at something else and the issue was glaring at you all along? I know I have many times.

GPM 04-22-2015 02:21 PM

I'm curious about the way number 6 exhaust rocker, roller tip is sitting on the valve.

Tinkerer 04-22-2015 07:43 PM

it might just be the camera angle. But even if it isn't there isn't much that can be done since the push rods are almost hitting the intake runner. If memory serves me I had to do a bit of grinding to get the clearance that I have. I would have to move the rocker stud over to get the rocker centered on the valve stem. I will go out and take a close up look at it.

Good luck

tink, dart makes an adjustable guide plate that would help your alignment, check them out.

I cut & tig weld the guide plates to where I want them, and they should be. I don't trust the nut & cap screw that comes with the adjustable guide plates. I have yet to see a BBC that the guide plates didn't need some or alot of adjustment.

they work,i have not had any of them come loose or move.i used to cut&weld before dart came out with these.i have found that the gm plates are the best fit out of all the non adjuatable ones.

MILD THUNDER 04-29-2015 09:32 AM

No issues with the dart adjustable guide plates here either. I like them .
