Brian, I'm kind of in the same boat. Not a machinist, just a pissed off consumer. I too have a lot of support in the machine industry and will be retiring from law enforcement soon, so this will be a good time to set up my next career. Also, with the advent of CNC equipment; you need to know more about computers and the machine takes care of the rest. Also, I have a tremendous amount of support if any issues arise. I would be very interested in those blue prints, I'll shoot you an email.

John the new pics look great. The season will be over soon and I'll be looking to do something. I just bought a rental property that needs some fixing before I can get tennants in but as soon as I finish that up and get them rented I'll be ready. Stay in touch.

John, before you invest in a machine, find out what a shop will charge you to mill parts you supply. It may be worth the cost vs expense of machine and time. Its not rocket science. Keep the info and pix coming.

Dave, I'll keep in touch. I really wanted to take my time with this project to work out any bugs and determine alternate / better methods.

Shawn, I've taken all of those factors in to consideration and for now I will continue using L&W machine. They do excellent work and are accustomed to performing exotic machine work. I am still keeping my options open, though. I believe this market is wide open and would welcome quality products at reasonable prices.
