454 MPI Random Power Loss

Posting this for a fiend of mine. 96' 454 MPI runs great then cuts-out like someone hit the kill switch then catches and starts running fine again. sometimes a 3200rpm cruise sometime at or close to WOT. Replaced cap, rotor and wires. Fuel separator had no water when replaced. Any thoughts????

sounds like electrical issue, maybe the safety lanyard switch or ignition switch.

Totally agree with Mike

Check as many of the Ground wires as you can. Something as simple as a battery connection could contribute to this issue. I did experience the exact same thing a number of years ago and it was the battery. Do the obvious- check the wires going to each spark plug -- sometimes they are not making as good a contact.

please let us know the outcome

Let's get this pup on the water and above all BE SAFE
