Stupid mistake - have I done any damage
 

I didn't realize my new cams had the firing order changed from 18436572 to 18726543.

I've just couldnt get them to run perfect and now I know why so I switched the dist wires and it fired right off like I would have expected.

Have I done any damage? Probably 20 minutes run time on both of them now screwing with them.,..

Time will tell!! Probably not, you were trying to fire them on the exhaust stroke.

Doubt if you hurt anything. If in doubt, run a compression test and/or a leakdown test.

In my simple brain, I was firing so far off it wasn't like it was detonating, etc.... It was just firing on the exhaust correct....

I would check for any water reversion to - did you run on the water or on the water hose just asking ?

Hose and I never made enough temp to open the 140 stats, but I do run a bypass to keep the headers cool. CMI etops

imo you did no damage.at idle with no load on the engine you will be ok.
