35Fountain, do you have a water test update for us? Actually, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that your engines seemed to avoid reversion with the original Silent Choice installed and in the closed (prop) position. That runs completely counter to everything I have read or been told about Silent Choice! Makes me wonder if I would have been better off to use the silent choice collectors on my Lightnings and let it idle in the thru prop position. I did not test it this way on the stand - not I wish I had.

Hope the check valves solved the problem for you. If so, I may look into a set for my boat, provided I have room to install them.

Great News!. Test drive yesterday..Definitely more low end power getting on plane, idling 650 in gear pipes on loud mode. No load up, missing. Yesterday was a good test day because it was humid so now I know it wasn't a rich idle mixture situation causing the load up. Still has great sound, no real sound loss tiny bit quieter. I placed these resonators 2" before the inside area of the transom in the exhaust hose. I would say it is approximately 4"- 6" away or in front of the outlet of the exhaust pipe. Looking at them I thought it would be a restriction and I would be removing them this weekend. Very surprising.:party-smiley-048:Today I will do a little more testing. WOT..?

Here is a short video..5 minute idle no miss or load up..so I guess the resonators worked...

I removed the silent choice, had the short ss EMI risers extended to 16" standard pipes and then added Gil Marine select sound HP switchable mufflers and I was still getting some type of reversion maybe just a mist.

Why not ditch the wet risers setup and use dry tail pipes with drew marine tips

Change the cam out to a 114.0 degree lobe seperation and 586/584 lift 236/245@50 this should fix your issue. I had the same thing and chased it for awhile, ended up needing to switch to a different lobe seperation raised the other specs up to get the specs i wanted. You can also try raising the idle up a little for now and see if that works

Problem solved

Eddie marine redid the water outlet of the exhaust riser. As you can see the water exits on the outside edge of the riser, doesn't spray inside the pipe.

Is this standard now, or custom made for you?

They call it their "water dam" design tail.. DOn't think it's standard but they'll be happy to do it for you if requested..

I had them do my tails that way AND add an extra couple inches to the inner pipe to further reduce reversion chances..

AWESOME customer service !! :)
