Add on hydraulic steering only turning right?
 

Just finished installing an add on system using Brazil style valve. I have twin Rams and have verified proper connections to Rams and pump. When doing the initial startup running motor and bleeding it will only turn to the right and stay there. It will not return. Even with motor off it stay there until I bleed pressure off by cracking lines at Rams. Can crack open the line from the steering valve that would steer port and bone dry. Any thought on this? It does not steer right until I turn the wheel all the way to the right. Bad shuttle steering valve?

FIGURED IT OUT!

You have to leave the tiller arm connected to the steering actuator. The shuttle valve is floating and needs resistance to pivot back and forth to switch direction of flow to each ram. It was only stroking at the end of the wheel because steering cable was reaching end of stroke and moving shuttle valve. Not sure how others have posted that tiller arm does not need to be connected unless mine is hard to move?

Sounds like you have the lines to your Rams wrong.

Yeah I double checked that. When I crack open the lines at the Rams the opposite side of each ram contains the fluid other ends are bone dry. Headed out to swap the lines coming off the steering valve to the Rams and see if it sticks to the left. Thanks for the fast response.

So I just swapped the lines at the steering valve and it now turns drives the opposite way with the wheel turned hard right. Disconnected the Rams from the drives and swapped the lines around on one of them. They both stroked in the same direction so I definitely have the lines hooked up right. At a total loss here. Gonna find another steering valve and swap it out.
