Even if the op got the remote filter lines reversed and advanced the timing to the point it would barely start ,i would imagine a healthy hp500 would take it in stride i always take pics of engine having oil poured in video of cold start ramp up inspecting oil coolers ect cause ya never know these days. But it is what it is . I think the clues may lie in engine #2 . Lets have a look see please.

I still can't get past the fact he didn't even know what Gen junk he was peddaling. Clearly he knows his stuff :wizard:

When the rust and cam was seen dale contacted Paul I was told and he said it would be fine....

Clearly someone got screwed on these motors, what I cannot understand though is it has been said the purchaser pulled the intakes for what ever reason upon purchase, WERE THEY FULL OF THE RUST IN THE PICTURES AT THAT TIME????? I guess I would like to hear THAT??? I can't see anyone putting them back together and running them after seeing this mess???

I thought all of the rust was caused by heat treating the internal parts to make them harder, so the motors could make more power....................lol........ I don't know why we are still discussing this, these motors were JUNK when Dale picked them up, just like they are JUNK now. The Kid should give Dale his money back and his old motors + reimburse him for travel expenses and (1) Engine tear down and inspection. I have tons of OEM parts that have been sitting around my shop for 10 years plus that look like show pieces compared this stuff.

Yup. These are the pics of the 'sealed' motor.

I see Mr. Paul has crawled back into his rotted out Bayliner and stopped responding.
