Need Expert Mechanic on Mercruiser 496HO Fuel Injection System
 

I have a 2004 Mercruiser 496HO engine. It will crank but not start. Ran Rinda 'self test' and no fault codes but seemed to skip the injector test and did not hear the injectors firing as is normal when test is run. There is fuel pressure but injectors are confirmed not firing since cylinders/plugs are dry of gas. Key on but no 12 volts at injectors. I am told there is a 'fuse' for the injectors but no one knows for sure where it is.

1. Can any one tell me where this fuse is located?
2. Can any one share a wiring diagram for this engine that includes all to do with the fuel injector circuit? The ECU part number is: 865855T01

New question. Does the MErcruiser #33 service manual for the PCM 555 diagnostics include / come with the full engine wiring diagram? See a few for sale on line and from MErcruiser Manuals site so need to know.

There is 4 version of this manual - years of the manual - 2000, updated 2001 and again in 2007 or 2006 and then another on non # 33 for the EC 496 cat engines. the 2006 / 2007 version is more indepth but has a lot related material to the 10 pin and the 14 pin wiring harness along with Mechanical shift and DTS diagrams. The 2001 is not even close to the depth its needs to be but is helpful as well. IMO if you owna 496 I would want both the 2001 and the 2006/ 2007 versions.

I have a couple of extra so I could see and list them for sale plus I know I have a brand OEM Mercruiser new manual # 30 - 496 engine mechanical manual. these are like very brand new manuals as at one time I owned 3 shops. Just saying.

Does the most recent/detailed manual have a chart/diagram of the Merc 496HO main engine harness? Mine is a mechanical throttle engine SN 0w035700. If yes I am interested.
