If I have a dead cylinder would that be apparent by looking at the plug? It's already winterized at this point, so I would have to do that over again, but I will if needed. SB, to answer your question, it was probably idling at around 700 RPM at the most - I slowed it down a little more than usual to make it easier to hear the sound. I usually idle it higher - 850 or so.

If I have a dead cylinder due to some kind of damage that should show up right away with a compression test, so I might go ahead and do that since it is easy to do in the garage. I'll update when I get a chance to investigate further. Thanks for all the replies.

A "dead cylinder" is a cylinder that's not firing budman.

Hey budman don't you still have silent choice or something like that- ?

PS; your wife called. She said the squeek is coming from your wallet. Ha !

No SC - just straight thru-hulls, Lightning headers.

Scary part is the wife is out spending the money out of my wallet, so it's more like a giant sucking sound - and not the good kind of giant sucking sound. ;)

If the plug is wet and the rest are dry that's an indication that it wasn't firing.
