I wanted to buy a single piece of their HP575sci 256 blower to 8-71 conversion kit and they would not sell it to me. They said I had to buy the whole kit. FWIW

I've got several friends who've had either dyers blowers, or dyers rebuild their blowers, they are local to me. Always good work. And several times, they tore down blowers, checked them out, and sold them only what they needed. In otherwords, if the stripping was good, they said it was good. If the bearings were good, they said they were good. They didnt' sell them stuff that wasnt needed. They been around a long time. With that being said, most of the companies are pretty good these days. Blower shop, Hampton, BDS, littlefield, etc etc.

FWIW, I bought quite a few blowers from Gary way back in the late 70s early 80's. Yes, he has been around for a long time. Never had a bad deal.

Very nice pieces. JimV (Valako) just put a new set of 8-71's on a pair 525SC's (454's). Just a little upgrade...

I ran one of Gary's 671's years ago on a Pro-Street 59 corvette with a small block, worked great no issues, great customer service back then..

I like it. Looking at the cogs on that setup, doesn't look like its spinning too fast

Never made it to the dyno. Mid season swap.

Apparently they started life as 525sc's. They were upgraded earlier to 250's. Guy buys boat and then the rear bearings on one of the 250's lets go and trashes the rotors. Guy eventually wants to go bigger so he went with the 8-71's. Just using what he has and taming down the 8-71's a little for the time being. Should be a good build over the winter.

Great upgrade. I think he'd be underdriving it? My only concern with the single carb on the 871 would be fuel distribution issues. I think going with twin 750s on it would be the way to go.

They sure look alot cooler than stock 525sc's now :musik010:

I know some 500s that would love those 871s on top. Lol

What are you looking for? Lower pulley adapter? I think I sourced mine through CP or Teague
