If the engines you are looking at scan clear and run as would be exected - I would highly reccomend Verdo's on a CC and not look back
|
Pretty general comments from my experience.......
Verados are exceptionally smooth and quiet. Auto start every time. Great on fuel. Very heavy. Optimax are much lighter. Use more fuel. A lot noisier. Slightly better performance. Can diagnose and service more easily. I think both are great engines and you can expect longevity either way. I am on my first ever Verados and love the silent operation and couldn't be happier. RR |
I was told that there is no difference between the 225 and the 275 except for the ECU. Is that true
I'm considering a boat that the owner said that he swapped the ECU's on 225's for 275's. What are your thoughts on that? |
ECU's are everything these days - Whipple industries has a program that will pump out another 140hp (stage 2) from a 4cylinder 200 Verado (on high test)
