Jesus, 90 in a 240 seems, well crazy. There is a guy at my marina that has a built 454 stroker that runs high 70's, and it's scary looking at it from OUTSIDE the boat.
You guys are nuts, I like it

It doesn't matter if you put 850hp in a 24ft Baja or a 30' Activator you need 380's and Hydraulic steering. If you are going to put that motor in the Baja I highly recommend redoing at a minimum the engine stringers. You can almost bet money the port side is like mulch inside.

Already done did a full stringer transom rplacement also added stiffners and offshore mounts that I do have covered this is why I am asking what was done to get it to handle im new to these things and while being new im not dumb I do know that the 240 the way it came from factory is not safley capable of 80mph runs this is one reason I posted this to get some info

Is there any hook in the bottom? Also, with a deep drive have you tried 3 blade mirage plus props? Bravo props tend to lift the stern and may not be needed on a deep drive straight bottom hull.

seems some of the stories here getting a bit deep...knew of a 88 240 that had stupid amounts of power put in it(correctly) and could not run 80, been doing the potomac river radar run for many years and seen several attempts in 240's to to run...about 75 was the best and again with lots of power. So I'm sorry throwing the B/S flag here on a 240 running 85+ I might be wrong...but I would have to see the video of the GPS before I'm buying it...sorry for any toes I stepped on...
