Holley has black carbs in the ultra series. Well, They are Black and real dark grey. Cool looking carbs though.

Although it reads more like a commercial for the carbs, the faq section provides lots of info about how the silverback carbs supposedly work.

when carbs cost as much as a EFI setup there's going to be a problem...I would love to test one..I do not see anything listed about working with a blow thru setup...I did email them just to see

These two applications are very different from each other, and again, thus why I get nervous about these non booster, non conventional venturi degined carbs. I would need a ton of proof from vehicles out in the field before I'd bite in.

Otherwise, they are awesome too look at and make Tim Allen grunts over.

I didn't have time to look at their site. But, at first glance it looks like it's a "slide" carb similar to small engine carbs. Cool idea, but a hefty price tag!

Ok, did talk with them, no go on the blow thru at this time...not sure if they tried and did not work or never tried as of yet. I think they got the idea from the old kendig carbs from the 70's, lots of guys in pro stock ran them for a while, then they came back years later as preditor,
lasted a few more years and have not seen anything about them in a while...they were a variable venturi design...
