Inteior Vinyl Surface Mildew Remover

I did a search and came up with the following products. In your opinion what would be the best to clean the mildew in the pictures below and keep it from coming back? Note there is no water intrusion present, just mildewy from sitting over 1.5 yrs. in a high humidity environment and closed up.

Spray Nine (Marine)
Yacht Fresh
Awesome Orange w/Green Scotch Bright Pad
Roll Off
Vinyl Sauce
Gogo Orange Pumace
X-14

DON'T use scotchbright pad it scars the vinyl.
I found "StarBright Marine Mildew Remover" to be the best. Also at the Dollar store Amazing works perty good for a buck.

25% Bleach and water mix and then let bake in the sun.

StarBrite and sun has worked for me. sun alone will surprise you.

Be careful using bleach around any stitching, it will erode the thread and you will end up with separated seams.

A guy I know that makes vinyl interiors (good ones), told me to use Tilex. I used it with Mr clean magic erasers and it cleaned up dirt and mildew beautifully. I was worried about the tilex, but it doesn't seem to have done any harm that I can tell.

Magic erasers are bad I am guilty once or twice to get a good cleaning but not a good practice for sure regularly

red thunder.its made by a company named mallco.dilute with water.works great on stiching .

Good info. unfortunately I won't be able to remove and place in the sun as they are interior parts and will stay in place during and after cleaning.

Is it because they are abrasive or some chemicals in them?

Magic Eraser is an abrasive pad that will remove some of the top layer of the vinyl. Use with care! That being said, I noticed last week that my sun pad is much less white than the other cushions in the boat. It's quite dingy when you hold one of the other cushions next to it. So I may try the Magic Eraser to remove the ground in grime.

Abrasive. Rub one on some shiny black paint and you'll see.
They do work well, but I just wouldn't use them unless absolutely needed.

yes, I woll only use if its REALLY dirty and I cant get clean with a soft brush...

Also after you use any type of cleaner on vinyl remember to use a good conditioner on it. I like something with mink oil in it. This will keep the vinyl protected, while still being soft.
