Why? Never understood high speed pontoons, inefficient to say the least. Over 60mph buy a deck boat and run Havasu style.

I agree with this, and I own a pontoon. There awesome boats with tons of room and do great up to that 55-60 after that they take tons of power. The huls just arent designed to plane, you can add strakes and flat bottoms and this helps but its still not efficent like a v-bottom of Cat

Ok HERE COMES THE INSULTS TO PONTOON LOVERS!!!

You have got to be kidding me!1!!!!

You are going to putt zillion horsepower on a Lake Erie barge -- give it to grandpa - to tow the grandkids around?? Not to mention all this horsepower to a boat that takes 6 miles to turn-- URGH This is a disaster waiting to happen

Sorry about the insults

6 miles to turn??? You might want to open your eyes a tiny bit, performance toons are the new thing and handle better then most bow ride boats.

The 1 we did was a 30.6 foot tri-toon double decker, it handled well and turned in the same distance of most any boat I have ever driven but was top heavy so slow it down before turning sharp and no problem. The owner could be seen racing jet boats all summer with 10-15 passengers, sound system jamming and a 10 foot high rooster following........ he loves it!!

I did a test drive on a triple with the new Evinrude 300, with 5 people we were doing 50 in 2' to 3' chop and it did 180's at full throttle. I have to admit it really changed my mind on toons.

I've seen something like that done with cars but it can cause wheel alignment problems, negative camber and increased tyre wear. (Poor photos, sorry)

Saw a VW Golf set up about the same way. Rims way too wide for the tires that were on it, with the camber all screwed up to lower it. Looked stupid as hell, and I bet the inside of those tires are worn out within 5000 miles.
